Decided to restart this little blog of mine.
Maybe its because I'm having the urge to rant meaninglessly and twitter just gives me too little space (words!) to do so. Or maybe because I'm PMSing.

Being here in Perth, somehow, it feels not as different as my lifestyle back in Singapore. Maybe it doesn't feel very different because I don't really miss Singapore as much as I expected. Granted there are times when I feel "Singapore is soo much better"; when things in Singapore are cheaper, the night is not as scary, the weather is not acting like a bitch, the shops doesn't close that early blah blah blah. But that's just it, I just feel that Singapore is much better than Perth in these areas, it'll be good if this can be like that, but I don't feel I miss Singapore enough to want to go back there. Probably I am too comfortable here might be the reason. I've ranted how people keep sending me pictures of food back in Singapore. Well... I see it, I can miss it sometimes, but I don't crave for it. Plus now, with my newly found culinary interest and skills (HAH), the craving is just not there. I feel that I can just create whatever the dish is by myself, though it may be easier to just get out and buy a packet, but just being able to cook it all with my own effort and eating it just makes things a little more satisfying.

Iono man. I'm only here for less than half a year, what can I possibly miss so much back in Singapore? It's April now, I've been here for 2 months and I have 2-3 months left before going back to Singapore. I haven't even explored much of Perth and I am already heading back to Singapore sooner than I know it. It kind of makes me feel that when I am back in Singapore, I'll miss Perth more as compared to missing Singapore when in Perth. Maybe it's not because of Perth that I'll miss, maybe it'll be this new "independent" lifestyle that I am living comfortably now. Back in Singapore, I'll just go back to the same old norm that I've been living for the past 21 years of my life. Or maybe it is just too early to tell, I've only been here for 2 months.
